School Counselor/SSD Coordinator
Four years at my first job in a Jesuit school was a true gift. I loved working with students grades 9-12 in a guidance class, assisting students with the application process for testing accommodations and visiting colleges around the U.S.
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
I earned my B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Music at Lafayette. I had my first experience working at a school and knew I was meant to pursue a career in education.
FORDHAM PREP SCHOOL
As a school counselor at Fordham Prep, I worked with students in all grades individually and in guidance classes covering topics such as time management, working to reach their full potential through goal-setting and the college application process.
TEENZ IN THE CITY
I co-founded a social skills program for students with special needs and learning disabilities ages 11-22 that engages members in community-based outings in NYC, while focusing on making friends, money management and travel training.
Director of Transition & Guidance
Starting the guidance program from the ground up at Aaron School proved to be one of the most challenging and valuable experiences of my counseling career. I launched their internship program, March to College events and graduated their first class of seniors during my time there. Working with students with special needs and learning differences has become a lifetime vocation.
College Guidance Counselor
Working with students with atypical paths to completing high school and college, my work at AW has shown me the passion I have for working with students who encounter difficulties during their educational journey.
NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
Master's in Guidance & Counseling
I earned my Master's Degree at the Steinhardt School. I interned at Baruch College Campus High School and discovered my love for helping students through the intricacies of the college process and navigating the high school experience.
